“Our greatest glory is not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall.” — Confucius

There is a story that has guided me over these past few years. It’s a story of a donkey and farmer, as well as persistence and struggle.

It goes like this:

(0:10–1:36, Credit: Dare to do. Motivation)

In your life, you are the donkey. Dirt of all kinds will be thrown at you each and every day. When this happens, you have two choices:

  1. Sulk over the situation and give up
  2. Shove the dirt and take a step-up

Although we all know the…

“What you Think, you Become. What you Feel, you Attract. What you Imagine, you Create.” — Buddha

Napoleon Hill. Oprah Winfrey. Tony Robbins. Buddha.

What comes to mind when you read those names? And what do you think these leaders, and innovators all have in common?

Their belief in the principle of the Law of Attraction.

A principle that shapes the way you see your life, your actions and most importantly, your results.

It is also the principle which has created today’s leaders, CEOs and innovators. It is, the law of your thoughts and understanding of your words. …

What makes a successful person?

High salary?

Big house?

Expensive car?

The answer is none of them.

Over the past few weeks, I’ve been exploring the question of what makes a successful person. And over this journey, I’ve realized that our current metrics for success (high salary, big house, expensive car, etc.) is a thick fog blocking us from a true view.

As humans, we feed off of our successes — it’s what keeps us moving. However, our society’s perception of it has been wrong this entire time.

The reason is that true success is not determined by the items…

Brain tumours are the leading cause of cancer deaths in young patients.

In fact, it kills more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer.

This is a problem. A problem we’ve had for far too long.

And unfortunately, one of the main reasons why these numbers are not going down is because our methods of tumour detection are ineffective. It is very difficult to detect brain tumours through MRI scans.

But the thing is, it’s only difficult for humans.

So, what if we can use a machine to detect brain tumours?

A machine much more…

The levels of carbon dioxide (CO2) currently in our atmosphere has not been this high in nearly 800,000 years. We as a society are polluting more than ever before. In fact, human activities release near 7,000 million metric tons of CO2 every year. And the thing is, it’s only getting worse.

By 2050, we will be heading towards a planet with vast areas inhabitable to humans.

Not because of the weather.

Not because of any global conflicts.

But instead, because of us. Our actions and ignorance to this problem has brought us to where we are today. …

Every 6 minutes, a car is stolen. And in 2019, over $6 billion was lost due to vehicle theft in the United States alone.

Vehicle theft is clearly a problem we need to put attention towards because the next stolen car could be yours.

However, with the current advancements of technology, the rate of theft is drastically decreasing.

But it is not enough.

We need use a system that is more effective and efficient than the ones we currently have.

And luckily, that system exists:

It’s called OpenCV.

What’s OpenCV?

In simple terms, OpenCV is the largest library for computer vision (CV)…

Over 5 million children under the age of 5 die every year.

And one of the leading causes of death for these children is pneumonia.

But that can change thanks to Artificial Intelligence (AI).

From the comfort of your home, you can create an AI model that has the ability to detect pneumonia based on X-ray images — which can be used to save lives.

This is how.

What is Pneumonia?

Before we get into the code, let’s learn a bit more about pneumonia.

Pneumonia is a type of lung inflammation caused by viral or bacterial infections. These infections may lead to the…

“Similarly to how steam, electricity, and computers have been the driving forces of the first three industrial revolutions, this fourth industrial revolution is driven by these technologies.”

- Credit: Tech Trends in Practice by Bernard Marr

Our world is on the verge of another industrial revolution. And the 5 technologies involved will change the way we succeed and function as a society:

Artificial Intelligence, Nanotechnology, Gene-Editing, Cryptocurrencies and Quantum Computing.

The fourth industrial revolution has so much to offer! It will help solve our world’s greatest problems and make our world a better place.

So without further ado… welcome to…

The year is 1939 and a global conflict is on hand (WWII).

The Nazis, led by Adolf Hitler are blazing through Europe and the Allies are struggling to cope with this destructive offensive.

Back in England, Alan Turing, an English Mathematician is working to break the code used by the Nazis to command strategic messages. It was called the German Enigma code.

If the Allies gained the ability to break this code… victory was definite.

But it was a challenge.

There was “159 million million million possible settings” (according to the Bletchley Park website) and every 24 hours, these settings…

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is changing our world everyday. 🌎

Think about the device you’re using right now. It might be a computer, phone or even an iPad. Well whatever it is, it is using AI. 🤖

The autocorrect feature on your phone 📱 is using a branch of AI called Machine Learning (ML).

The voice assistants like Siri or Alexa use a branch of AI called Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Deep Neural Networks (DNN) to convert the acoustic patterns of your voice into patterns recognizable by the machine. 🗣️

The search engine that recommends your search is also using…
